Warsaw Schools Middle School Band Wins Gold At ISSMA Contest

Warsaw Community Schools' middle school advanced band students achieved top honors at the ISSMA Organizational Contest, earning a gold rating and a special "With Distinction" award for their performance of three selections judged across nine categories.
The unanimous decision by the panel of judges highlights the students' talent and preparation, stated a news release from WCS. The performance concluded with a standing ovation, underscoring the positive reception from the audience and the quality of the band's presentation.
Middle school band director Joe Peloza said, “The students did a fantastic job preparing their music for the contest. The comments from the judges reinforced the great playing of our students. Thank you parents; we also appreciate your support. ”
