FORT WAYNE – Big Brothers Big Sisters launches its new site-based program, College Connections+, on Thursday, March 21.
College Connections+ will be Big Brothers Big Sisters’ third site-based facilitated program and will focus on matching college students with waitlist Littles. This will be the first College Connections+ program being launched in conjunction with Indiana Tech student Trevor Schill, a current Little himself.
The program was designed to give college students an opportunity to get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters in an accessible and safe manner while also providing support to Littles on the waitlist before they can be officially matched, according to a news release from BBBS.
The first activity will take place on Thursday, March 21 and subsequent meetings will be held roughly two times a month outside of summers and the holidays. There are currently six matches, with a goal to reach 20 matches throughout its first year.
