WHITLEY COUNTY - An Albion woman was killed Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident in Whitley County.
Cynthia M. Wenhart, 41, Albion, was traveling south on North Ruckman Road, north of East Old Trail Road, at about 12:23 p.m. when it appears the 2013 Kia SUV she was driving went off the road to the west. She overcorrected to get back on the road, according to a Whitley County Sheriff’s Office personal injury and fatal report. The Kia then went off the east side of the road into Eel River and flipped on its top.
Wenhart was taken to Fort Wayne Forensic Center.
The Kia was totaled, the report states.
Along with the WCSO, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources also investigated the incident.
