Rebecca “Becky” Mary LaRue, of Winona Lake, passed away after a lengthy illness at 11:50 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the age of 52.
She was born on May 15, 1971, in Warsaw. Becky was adopted by a loving couple, Sue “Susie” Ann (Brown) Hudson and John R. Hudson. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a 1989 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. On April 9, 1999, she married Anthony “Tony” Thomas LaRue. She loved him dearly and sadly he passed away on April 25, 2002.
Becky was a familiar and smiling face to many at Long John Silver’s in Warsaw where she worked as the manager for many years. Later she worked for Peoplelink as a staffing specialist prior to working as a benefits coordinator for the Bowen Center in Warsaw. Always helpful with a heart for service everywhere she had worked, she loved people and enjoyed her work family. She liked to keep busy and trying out new things, especially when it came to crafting. She loved listening to music and spending time with her loved ones. More than anything, she loved her family and her beloved grandchildren. Becky will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was loved by many and will be forever missed.
She leaves behind her son, Colt Hudson, Rochester; daughter, Sidney LaRue, Winona Lake; two grandchildren, Harper and Jayden Hudson; and her sister, Sarah (Lawrence) Baltazar, Bristol. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tony LaRue.
Becky’s life will be celebrated with a service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer.
