Allen E. Breed, 99, Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at Grace Village Healthcare.  
He was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Oakland, Calif. Allen served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic in Word War II with the 526th Armored Infantry Battalion, where he received the Bronze Star with two Oak Leaf Clusters.
He married Irene in Honolulu, Hawaii; she died May 19, 2015.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Allen’s life at a memorial service to be held on Friday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Grace Village Chapel at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and officiated by Rev. Brian Smith. Allen will be laid to rest at a Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Hawaii. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
