Age Is Just A Number

Harrison Ford, Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, Martin Scorsese, Judge Judy… What do these people have in common? Glad you asked … They were all born the same year as Joe Biden! Are they in nursing homes? Mental health facilities? Don’t think so. I believe these folks seem to still be at the top of their game. Do they walk a little slower, have momentary memory lapses from time to time, call all family members by the same name? Probably. Who doesn’t … regardless of age?
Just because Donald Trump is a whopping three years younger, does he seem less confused than Joe? Does he transpose people’s names (like Pelosi and Haley, or Biden and OBama)? Does he walk a bit slower — especially going down ramps? Does he garble common words like “Yo-semite” (Yosemite), “infantroopen” (infantry), “suspestig” (suspected), “delegitimatize” (delegitimize), “benefishers” (beneficiaries), “pivitible” (pivotal), Franklin “De lay no” (Delano) Roosevelt, and sooooo many others? Has he ever shared family photos of himself and his boys playing football in the yard, or videos riding a bicycle with his wife — or wives? (Does he even know how to ride a bike?)
Joe Biden may be in his 80s, but he out performs many people his age — both physically and mentally. Do you recall a recent trip overseas where he met with several key leaders of state — in each of their countries, then flew home and delivered a coherent, meaningful address to the nation …. all in the same week or so? Biden is doing and has done more for America in three years than any president before him. Plus he’s done that after inheriting a crashing economy, a country shut down by a deadly pandemic, a country in danger of being ostracized by its former allies — and without a transition team.
Joe Biden is fit and healthy, needs no fake tan or thinning hair comb over. He wears blue jeans, sweaters, tennis shoes, bike helmets, aviator shades, and looks like a normal human. With decades of governmental experience, he has forgotten more information than Trump ever had or will have. He has more “wins” under his belt than, well, almost anyone. He wants to continue the job he started — keeping America great.
Trump is overweight, exercises by driving his golf cart, walking a few feet between golf shots, and performing his double-fisted jig to “YMCA” at rallies. His recent rhetoric about NATO threats has U.S. allies deeply worried about their future safety. He has no positive plans for our country — only vengeful plans for himself and a growing allegiance to foreign dictators.
FDR ran his presidency from a wheelchair, was an influential leader during WW2, and set our country back on the path to recovery and prosperity. Eisenhower won the presidency in spite of suffering a heart attack during his campaign.
It’s time all media, all pundits, start paying attention to real issues and problems and who really has the experience and physical and mental capabilities to solve them.
