Warsaw Man Killed In Crash Near Palestine

A Warsaw man was killed Friday morning when his pickup was hit by a Hummer H2.
According to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday, Kosciusko County emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of CRs 200S and 550W in reference to a personal injury crash between a 2006 Hummer H2 and a 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup.
When deputies arrived, it was determined that the Hummer H2 was traveling north on CR 550W and collided in the intersection with the Tacoma, which was traveling west on CR 200S.
The Hummer was driven by 56-year-old Michael Kolesiak, Akron, and the Tacoma was driven by 34-year-old Kevin Harris, Warsaw.
The Hummer failed to yield the right-of-way to the Tacoma, according to the news release.
Harris suffered fatal injuries from the collision and was pronounced dead by Kosciusko County Coroner Tyler Huffer at the scene. The crash investigation was turned over to the Kosciusko County Fatal Team.
The KCSO was assisted at the scene by Burket Fire Department, Warsaw Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, Mentone EMS, Samaritan Air Ambulance and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
