Banning Continues Message Series
ATWOOD – Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning continued his summer message series dealing with the foundational beliefs Christians hold. Last Sunday, he asked, “What is Salvation?” This question is the central issue of faith. His message indicated salvation does not mean that people are exempt from temptation and sinning, but it does mean that God forgives sins if people have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.
The women’s group will be hosting a rummage sale on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon in the Fellowship Hall. Many estate and multi-family donations are available.
The women’s group's one-day bus trip to Saugatuck, Mich., on Aug. 7 is filling up and reservations are due by July 7. Information and reservation forms may be found on the church website at www.altrusaotterbeinchurch.org or on the church Facebook page as Atwood Otterbein Church.
Join the congregation for Sunday services beginning at 9:30 a.m. Come early for coffee and fellowship and stay late for snacks with family and friends.

Burket Bible To Hold Sunday School
BURKET – Burket Bible Church, 102 Market St., Burket, welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Reflections on Juneteenth" from 1 Samuel 16:1-13. Ron and Donna Wright will provide music. There will a carry-in meal following the worship service. All are welcome.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Java Jacks in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. Study starts at 9 a.m.

Claypool UMC Celebrates
The End Of Vacation Bible School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 105 Church St., Claypool, celebrated the end of vacation Bible school with the congregation and guests on Sunday with a slide show and the children singing.
The church will be finishing the first week of summer and the reading of Luke. Join the church for a personal reading of John in July.
On Sunday, the church welcomes adults and children to join them at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday school. Join the church at 10:10 a.m. for fellowship and 10:30 a.m. for worship, music and prayer in the sanctuary. Pastor Dana Yoder is taking church members through a series of James. This Sunday is from James 1:5-8, "Perfecting Grace through Prayer."
The Women of Faith are meeting Tuesday for a tour of the new Cardinal building and lunch.
The cookbooks “Filling the Hungry with Good Things” are selling fast. Cost is $15. All proceeds go to a children's mission.

MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, invites the community to join them Sunday for its worship service beginning at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Emily Gearhart will present the message “In Need and In Abudance.” The scripture is 2 Corinthians 8:7-15.
The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school exploring God’s Amazing Animals for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old. Sunday Bible school kids stay in the sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month for Communion.
