Warsaw Parks & Rec. Announces Weekend Activities

June 25, 2024 at 2:22 p.m.

Summer Concert
As part of the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Concert Series, The Moon Cats will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Lucerne Park Amphitheater, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.
They play music from the 1950-70s.
The free concert is an opportunity to spend time with the family, enjoy familiar tunes and experience new types of music.
Without the support of the sponsors, the Summer Concert Series would not be possible, according to a provided news release. Sponsors are the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Indiana Arts Commission - a state agency, 107.3 WRSW, Willie 103.5 and News Now! Warsaw.

Science Camp
Science Camp will take place 2 to 3 p.m. July 1, 8 and 15 at the Pete Thorn Gym, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.
It is for children 8 years old and older, and cost is $8 per child each session.
According to the news release, “As the great Bill Nye once said, science rules. We're excited to offer a science camp for the first time this summer! Join us for three different days of kid-friendly, hands-on experimenting.”
Goggles and protective gear will be provided, as well as all supplies each child will need.
Pick one, two, or all three dates to attend - each day at camp is standalone. Registration is required and will close prior to the session date. Payment for each session is due during registration: https://secure.rec1.com/IN/warsaw-in/catalog

Nerf War
Nerf War was such a blast in 2023 that the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department not only brought it back this year, but expanded it.
Mom vs. Son Nerf War is July 22, while Family Battle is July 23.
There will be various sessions each day at the Pete Thorn Gym, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.
Barricades and obstacles may stand in your way for ultimate victory, or maybe you’ll find shelter behind one to become the winner, only time will tell.
Each session is one hour long and all darts will be supplied. Participants must bring their own Nerf gun, but no battery-operated guns. There will not be extra guns on site if a participant brings a battery-operated gun and has no other.
Registration is open and each session costs $7 per person playing, per session. Register online at https://secure.rec1.com/IN/warsaw-in/catalog
