A Pierceton man was arrested on battery and resisting law enforcement charges.
Frankie Lee Poe, 52, of 3137 E. Wooster Road, Pierceton, is charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and battery, a class B misdemeanor.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:56 p.m. Monday on a $5,250 preliminary bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Monday, dispatch advised of a 911 call in reference to an unwanted male, later identified as Poe. A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded and learned Poe left before law enforcement arrived.
The deputy spoke with a man who said Poe was at a residence, drank alcohol and was told to leave. Poe was then outside beating on the door.
A Pierceton Police Department officer and Winona Lake Police Department officer arrived to assist.
The deputy spoke with a woman, who said Poe stuck his hand up her shorts. The person explained they were in their room and Poe entered to talk. The woman turned around to pick something up and Poe then stuck his hands up her shorts and touched her genital area. The woman told Poe to stop and a second man removed Poe from the room.
The deputy spoke with a second woman who said Poe entered the residence and was loud. She told Poe to leave. Poe then allegedly cornered the second woman in the kitchen. The second woman told Poe to get off her and the second man grabbed Poe to remove him.
Law enforcement located Poe at his residence. According to court documents, Poe appeared to be intoxicated and slurred his speech. Poe said he walked away from the residence and the females yelled. Poe said he consumed a little alcohol but had previously said he drank a bottle.
When officers handcuffed Poe, he became angry and told the officer they better let go. Poe thrust himself towards one of the officers. The deputy pulled Poe to the couch in order to gain control. Poe repeatedly told the officers to stand him up and he would fight them.
