Akron 4th Of July 5K & Fun Run Is July 4

AKRON - The annual Akron Fourth of July Firecracker 5K Run/Walk and 1 mile fun run, sponsored by the Akron Las Donas Club, will be Thursday, July 4 starting with a shotgun start.
The walkers will start at 8 a.m., the 1 mile fun run will start at 8:15 a.m. and the runners will start at 8:30 a.m.
You can register online at http://getmeregistered.com/AkronsFirecrackerRun or by paper registration by June 28 for the discounted price of $20. Late registration and day of event registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. and will be $25. The fun run is $10.
This will be a timed event on an open course with prizes awarded to the top male and female runners and top age group winners, as well as the top three walkers immediately after the race.
