Thomas B. Maze, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at  Stillwater Hospice Facility in Fort Wayne.
Thomas was born April 10, 1941, in Warsaw, the son of Ned and Connie Blaine Maze. He was united in marriage to Sara Ann Teeple Maze on Feb. 4, 1976, in Warsaw.
He was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School and continued on to the United States Army from May 1964-October 1967.
He was co-owner of Ace Hardware in Warsaw, Indiana, with his brother Jim for 34 years, when he retired.
Tom enjoyed traveling with his wife to Canary Islands and the Isle of Margarita Venezuela with their friends Charlie and Lynn Wheeler. They also traveled with them to Chili, Madrid, and Texas many times and became Texas A&M fans. They also traveled to Mazatlan, Mexico, and have had large groups of friends join them over the years. Tom led many white water canoe trips down the Montreal River in Canada. He also loved Dominos group with his buddies.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sara Maze of Warsaw; a daughter, Dawn (Roby) Weed, of Warsaw; son, Christian “Chris” (Michelle), of Lake Charles, La.; brother, Jim (Bambi) Maze, of Winona Lake; and a grandson, Tyler Maze.
Godchildren have been a blessing in Tom and Sara’s lives over many years and they love each and every one.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Tom’s life will be at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Warsaw on Friday, June 28 at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Basden officiating. A visitation will be Thursday, June 27 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Interment will follow immediately in Saint Anne’s Columbarium with military honors by American Legion Post 253 of North Webster.
