A new flower shop is opening downtown Warsaw Thursday.
A grand opening celebration will take place at 111 E. Market St., Warsaw, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
“We are very excited to be opening our shop here, in downtown Warsaw! We have been working towards this for a while now and can’t wait to finally open our doors and welcome in the community. I’ve always wanted to ‘Do Something You Love,’ as my teachers at Floral Design Institute always say; so here we are!” said owner Rachel Marose. “We’ve had a lot of positive feedback.”
Village Florist will be open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Follow them on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/villagefloristshopllc to find out more about them and any upcoming events.
Marose, and her husband, Kelly, have both grown up in the Warsaw area. While Rachel runs the shop, Kelly works full-time days at Whimet (now part of Paragon) and will also run deliveries for the shop after that.
Rachel has worked in the floral industry, as well as completing both Basic and Advanced flower design courses from Floral Design Institute. She had a studio in the basement of their house but wanted to expand to reach more people.
With the help of her husband and some family members, she is bringing her dream to downtown Warsaw. She is also hoping to eventually add more members to her team as the shop grows.
