CLAYPOOL – At Tuesday night's meeting, the Claypool Town Council agreed to write a letter of support to the county supporting a property demolition at 207 S. Clay St.
The owner intends to demolish the house at the property but leave the shed for storage space only until a new structure is constructed by next spring. At that time the shed will be demolished.
In other business, Council President Benny Stage said there are no updates on amending ordinances for the leash law and trash pickup. Town attorney Andrew Grossnickle was not present to speak on these updates.
Town Marshal Paul Mullins provided a $5,800 quote from Cottage Watchman for updates to the town's security system. The quote acceptance decision was tabled until next month, pending funding sources.
An administrative meeting was set for 6 p.m. June 25.
The council will next meet at 7 p.m. July 16.
