Art On The Bricks With Forbes Thursday

NORTH MANCHESTER – The North Manchester Center for History will welcome Bart Forbes as will guest speaker on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for its summer series Art on the Bricks.
Forbes is an illustrator, gallery painter and a member of the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame. His portfolio includes works for NBC, the Kentucky Derby, NFL and Time Magazine. In 1988 Forbes was selected as the Official Artist for the Seoul Summer Olympics. Due to the excessive heat, this Art on the Bricks program will be inside the Center for History. The evening’s event is sponsored by Tri-Oaks Realty in North Manchester. This event is free and open to the public, according to a news release from the North Manchester Center for History.

The Kaleidoscope Gallery will be showcasing Jared Christiansen’s exhibit Bits and Pieces, Things I’ve Seen Along the Way. Christiansen is a former North Manchester resident and graduate of Manchester High School. He currently lives in Fort Wayne, where he has developed his craft as a professional photographer. Christiansen will be at the museum during Art on the Bricks to answer questions about his works, his exhibit ends on July 13.
The evening will round out with our musical guest, Toby Tobias. On Thursday, he will be solo on the piano and taking requests.
The museum's regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m CFH is located at 122 E. Main St., North Manchester. Admission is always free.
