Possible Electrical Fire Reported At Danco Medical

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory was dispatched at 11:52 a.m. Thursday to a reported electrical fire at Danco Medical, 905 Executive Drive, Warsaw.
According to information provided by Warsaw Police Department Public Information Officer Chris Francis, on behalf of the fire territory, a nearby WPD officer saw heavy smoke billowing from the structure. Due to the presence of hazardous materials inside the facility, the Elkhart Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team and the Indiana Department of Emergency Management were requested.
Additional resources responded from the Winona Lake Fire Department and Lutheran EMS, as well as the city of Warsaw Public Works and Wastewater Utility.
The immediate area was closed and was to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
There is no further risk to the public, the release states.
No additional information was available as of Thursday afternoon, but WWFT Chief Joel Shilling is to issue a formal statement at a later time, the news release states.
