Looking for summer activities that are filled with excitement and imagination?
The summer programs at Debra Collier’s School of Dance feature dance camps along with six-week short summer sessions of ballet, line dancing, adult tap, hip hop, dancing for birth and more.
This season’s camp themes include Barbie Dream Camp, Paw Patrol, Super Mario Bros., In My Sparkle Era and more.
Full descriptions, dates, and details for the camps can be found on the studio’s website at collierdance.com.
A jazz and choreography workshop is available for ages 8 and up, as well as a one-day modern workshop.
“Summer provides a great opportunity for students to try different styles of dance during the short sessions,” said DCSD owner Deb Collier.
This summer the studio is excited to announce a new opportunity, Ballet and Beyond. This class will introduce dancers to classic variations from famous ballets while developing their personal technique. It will also incorporate ballet history, anatomy, injury prevention and more.
The seven-week session will conclude with a Ballet Gala Performance where dancers will showcase all they have accomplished.
DCSD’s summer conditioning class is also expanding to include Acro Basics. Students will gain the strength and knowledge to use acro elements to enhance their dancing.
Continuing DCSD’s history of providing opportunities for their students to learn from master teachers from across the country, Josh Manculich will be visiting as a guest instructor.
For class times, more information on any of these programs or to register, call the studio at 574-267-7055.
Registration for all classes and camps is also available at collierdance.com.
