AKRON – Raymond Adams, 89, of Akron, a beloved figure known for his sharp wit and generous spirit, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 3, 2024, at the Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw.
Born on Jan. 1, 1935, in Akron, Raymond was the son of Jackson and Pauline Personette Adams. His early life saw him graduate from Beaver Dam High School in the class of '53. He mourned her passing every day.
Raymond’s professional life was marked by a 40-year tenure with NIPSCO in construction. Beyond his work, he was passionate about his farm, where he raised livestock and cultivated the land. His commitment to faith was evident through his active involvement in the Beaver Dam Community Church. Raymond and his late wife, Marilyn, embarked on countless trips to Arizona for Cubs spring training, as well as many other memorable trips.
His departure leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness and a community enriched by his presence. Raymond will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
