After Six-Year Absence, Silver Lake Days Returns

SILVER LAKE – Silver Lake Days is scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Starting in 1859, the last year the festival took place was 2018.
Below is the schedule of events for Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the car show, sponsored by ParKan, is downtown starting at 2 p.m. and goes until dark. Going from 3 p.m. until it’s dark is a dunk tank at Ind. 14 and High Street.
From 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in downtown Silver Lake will be music by DJ Ricky G. From 8 to 11 p.m., the Aint Ryte band will perform downtown.
Saturday starts off with a tractor show on High Street from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A parade begins at 11 a.m. The route includes Ind. 14E, Ind. 15S and East Sycamore Street.
Starting at noon, a few events start. The fire department’s Touch-A-Truck will go from noon to 3 p.m. at Ind. 15 and West Sycamore Street. From noon to 3 p.m. is the fire department’s tenderloin dinner at West Sycamore and Elm streets.
From noon to 1 p.m. is the motorcycle show at East Sycamore and High streets. From noon to 4 p.m. are children train rides in downtown Silver Lake.
From 1 to 7 p.m., knockerball will be at Rambler Park. From 1 to 4 p.m., ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) Tiny Tots Motorcycle Experience will also be at Rambler Park.
From 2 to 5 p.m. downtown, a cornhole tournament will be held.
At 3:30 p.m., the Class Act Dance Troupe will perform downtown.
From 4:30 to 6 p.m., the Barrel Scrapers Band, a bluegrass/gospel band, will perform downtown.
From 6 to 9 p.m., Unwound Band, a various genre band, will perform downtown.
Garage sales begin Friday at 8 a.m. through Saturday afternoon. Craft and food vendors are available beginning at noon Friday.
