State Roads 25 & 19 To Close In Mentone

MENTONE - Norfolk Southern Railway will close their grade crossings at the intersection of Ind. 25 and Ind. 19 in Mentone on or after Monday, Aug. 5, resulting in a closure of the west and south legs of the intersection, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
These two railroad crossings will be closed for approximately three weeks to be rebuilt. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the intersection while work is ongoing, but the north and east legs of the intersection will remain open and accessible.
Ind. 25 will be closed between Walnut Street east to Ind. 19. The official detour for this closure will follow Ind. 331, Ind. 10 and Ind. 19.
Ind. 19 will be closed between Ind. 25 south to Monroe Street. The official detour will follow Ind. 25 and Ind. 14.
