STATEHOUSE – State Reps. Craig Snow (R-Warsaw) and David Abbott (R-Rome City) recently received appointments to serve on interim study committees, which will meet throughout the summer and fall to explore policy issues and work together to identify solutions.
Legislators will hear testimony from the public, various experts and stakeholders as they work on bill recommendations ahead of the budget session in January.
Snow will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy.
"Year after year, our state continues to maintain a balanced budget, strong reserves and a solid credit rating," Snow said. "With the budget being the focus of the next legislative session, we'll review the state's fiscal health, and tax incentive and workforce programs."
Abbott will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor, and the Board of Trustees of the State Museum and Historic Sites Corp.
Committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online on the General Assembly's website located at iga.in.gov.
