Good Shepherd To Hold Sunday School
WINONA LAKE – Church of The Good Shepherd, 708 College Ave., Winona Lake, will hold Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m.
Pastor Sass's sermon title is "Keep Growing" from 1 Peter 2:1-3.
On Aug. 4, a special dedication service will be held.
The steering committee will hold a meeting on Aug. 23 at 12:15 p.m.

Banning Presents Special Message

ATWOOD – This past Sunday, Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning stepped away from his message series, “The Foundations of Faith,” to present a special message, “All You Need Is Love.”
His message set the stage for the wedding of Billy Monroe and Kayla Metzger, which followed the service. Vocalist Drew Frailey shared “The Wedding Song” in tribute to Kayla and Bill while a packed church celebrated their special day.
Pastor David and Jackie are hosting a campfire at the parsonage located just north of the church on Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Simply bring meat to cook over the open fire, a dish to share, table service and chairs to enjoy the fun and fellowship of family and friends.
This summer’s Vacation Bible School, Camp Firelight, will take place July 29 through Aug. 2 in the Fellowship Hall from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Area toddlers through sixth-grade students are encouraged to participate. Reservation information is available at the church office on East Main Street in Atwood, by telephone at 574-858-2291 or by emailing [email protected].
Atwood Otterbein Church is at 306 E. Main St., Atwood, and is handicapped accessible. Sunday services begin at 9:30 a.m. and all are welcome to come early for coffee and fellowship and stay late for snacks with the welcoming and friendly congregation.

Burket Bible To Hold Worship
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "The Battle Belongs to the Lord" from 2 Chronicles 20:13-26. Eastway will provide music.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Java Jacks in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. Study starts at 9 a.m.

Beaver Dam Community Church
To Hold Lakeside Service

AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m..
On Sunday, join Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, for worship with a lakeside service at Beaver Dam Lake boat launch at 8 a.m. or at the church at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. If it's raining by 7:30 a.m., a cancellation call will be made for lakeside.
On Monday, the Wheels on Fire meeting is at 6:30 p.m.
On July 19, the Wheels on Fire food booth at the Country Concert at Central Park in Warsaw starts at 3:30 p.m.

Mentone UMC To Hold Blood Drive
MENTONE – The community is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday for worship beginning at 10:15 a.m. The group Promise will be singing during service.
On Tuesday, a Red Cross Blood Drive will be in the Fellowship Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 1-800-Red-Cross to schedule a blood donation.
The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school exploring God’s Amazing Animals for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old. Sunday Bible school kids stay in the sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month for Communion and for special events.
