Thank you to the Warsaw Plan Commission for their renaming of Main Lane in Gateway to Farrar Lane. This is a fitting recognition of the many, many contributions made by William “Bill” Farrar to young people - and their parents - at Madison Elementary School where he dedicated his life for over three decades.
I began my teaching career at Madison in 1966 under the watchful guidance of Principal Farrar. Bill’s outstanding and caring mentoring to the faculty encouraged all of us to do our very best to provide excellent educational experiences for the students under our care. Mr. Farrar positively impacted the lives of all those he served. I am indeed privileged to call him a mentor, role model, and friend.
Educators like Bill Farrar are indeed worthy of the kind of tribute that this honor conveys. Congratulations to City Planner Justin Taylor and all the Warsaw Plan Commission members for so meaningfully adding to the legacy of a great educator.
With appreciation,
Lee Harman
