Eight Suffer Minor Injuries In Saturday Three-Vehicle Crash In Syracuse

SYRACUSE - Eight people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash Saturday in Syracuse.
At 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on North Ind. 13 at the intersection with East Vawter Park Road, according to a KCSO crash report.
Claire E. Standley, 19, Indianapolis, was traveling west in a green 2012 Toyota Prius C from the stop sign on East Vawter Park Road to cross North Ind. 13 to enter a private drive on the west side.
Ray Skelton, 27, North Webster, was traveling north in a red 2017 Nissan Rogue on North Ind. 13 when Standley entered the roadway. The Rogue collided with the Prius, causing the Prius to face south.
Jefferey L. Miller, 61, Decatur, was traveling south in a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country on Ind. 13 and collided with Standley’s Prius. The Prius then went off the road and hit a stop sign on the west side of Ind. 13 at the private drive.
A witness stated they were behind Skelton and saw Standley pull out from the stop sign on East Vawter Park Road, according to the report.
Standley and a passenger, Ruby M. Rusk, 20, Indianapolis, were seen by emergency medical personnel but refused further treatment. The report states Rusk suffered abrasions to the lower arm.
Skelton refused treatment from emergency medical personnel.
The passengers in Skelton’s vehicle were taken to hospitals for further treatment. Aliscia L. Templeton, 29, Warsaw, complained of pain to the abdomen and pelvis. Xavier Bartman, 11, Warsaw, complained of pain to the neck. Crew Bartman, 4, Warsaw, complained of pain to the abdomen and pelvis. Maleak Bartman, 8, Warsaw, complained of pain to the knee and lower leg.
Miller and a passenger, Kelly J. Miller, 59, Decatur, were seen by emergency medical personnel but refused further treatment. Kelly Miller complained of pain to the chest.
Damage was estimated at between $25,000 to $50,000 to all three vehicles.
