With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Brower Kinzie, born on June 19, 1936, in Pierceton. Patricia peacefully departed this world on July 4, 2024, in Oak Island, N.C., at the age of 88, following a period of declining health.
Patricia was a loving and caring friend, spouse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she devoted herself to nurturing and supporting them throughout her life. Later in life, she discovered her remarkable talent for drawing and spent many of her later years creating beautiful art. She also had a keen eye for collecting vintage dolls and antiques, finding beauty in the treasures of the past.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charley "Junior" Kinzie; their two children, Deb Kinzie and Jim Kinzie; and grandson, David Boswell.
Patricia's legacy lives on through her surviving family: her two children, Mike Kinzie (Sue) and Mark Kinzie (Terri); her four grandchildren: Lauren Kinzie, Jenna Kinzie, Jeremy Marshall and Kevin Bowen (Lupe); and her two great-grandchildren, Kyle Bowen and Isabel Bowen.
In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Her spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Charley and children.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia's family asks that friends and family consider making a memorial contribution to Gentiva Hospice in her memory at www.wilmingtoncares.com.
Care entrusted to Wilmington Funeral & Cremation – Leland Chapel – 525 Village Road, Leland, NC 28451 910-383-3511.
