Phyllis Lee Niswender, 90, of Winona Lake, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Grace Village Nursing Home.
Phyllis was born to Clifford and Ann Latham on Oct. 4, 1933, in Cory. On June 2, 1956, she married Ivan Niswender at a Methodist Church in Cory.
She worked as a secretary for a medical caring facility in Allegan, Mich., and was also a homemaker. Phyllis enjoyed sewing, crochet and knitting and loved to teach Sunday school.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ivan Niswender, of Winona Lake, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her son, Thomas Niswender; and her daughter, Kathryn Niswender, as well as one sister, Kay Seymour; and two brothers, Don and Joe Latham.
In celebration of Phyllis’ life, a visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 6 at Grace Village Chapel in Winona Lake. A service will immediately follow at noon with Chaplain Bryan Benjamin officiating. Interment will be at later date.
