Moving Pictures Tattoo Cinema, 112 E. Center St., Warsaw, was presented with a $9,832.69 facade grant Tuesday from Main Street Warsaw to be used for improvements.
Nathan Underneath, owner of Moving Pictures Tattoo Cinema, said the windows and front door were replaced. Moving Pictures also did a new building sign. They took out the overhead wood paneling and did a restructuring of inside of the overhang. All new wiring and LED lighting was put into the overhang.
Three months ago, Moving Pictures started talking about redoing the facade. Underneath said they had plans of doing it for a long time, but then finally started to get quotes for the work. The work itself took just over two weeks.
Underneath said the facade grant will cover 50% of the cost of the project.
He wanted the entryway to reflect the standard of high-quality services Moving Pictures provides, so having more of a welcoming, updated appearance on the outside was advantageous. And then having the money available through the facade grant seemed like a waste not to use it, Underneath said.
