Easterseals Affiliates Honor State Leaders

INDIANAPOLIS — The three Easterseals affiliates serving Indiana honored four state leaders at their Legislator Appreciation Reception on Tuesday.
Leaders from Easterseals Northern Indiana, Easterseals Crossroads and Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville presented an award to Sen. Ryan Mishler, R-Mishawaka, for Excellence in State Leadership in recognition of his work as chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee and his responsiveness to community members in his district.
The Easterseals affiliates also celebrated three individuals as Outstanding Advocates for People with Disabilities:
• Rep. Robb Greene, R-Shelbyville, for his service on the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee and collaboration with Easterseals, INARF and The Arc of Indiana to craft legislation supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Rep. Victoria Garcia Wilburn, D-Fishers, for her service on the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee and collaboration with Easterseals, INARF and The Arc of Indiana to craft legislation supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Cathy Robinson, deputy director of the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services, for her career advocating for the rights and needs of people with disabilities.
The third annual Easterseals legislator appreciation event held at Ruth’s Chris Steak House on Tuesday evening was attended by state senators and representatives; legislative aides; and guests from The Arc of Indiana and INARF.
