Caucus Called For Jefferson Township Board Position

A Republican caucus has been called for the Jefferson Township Board position as member Robert “Bob” Riley resigned effective immediately.
Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan announced Friday the caucus will convene at the Kosciusko County Republican headquarters, 123 W. Center St., Warsaw, on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m.
Eligible members of the caucus, by statutory definition, are the Republican precinct committee members who have served continuously from 30 days before the date of the commencement of the caucus.
The Jefferson Township Trustee Board member shall be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office. Candidates must reside in Jefferson Township and be a Republican in good standing.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Ragan no later than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the caucus.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus.
