A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly having child pornography on his phone.
Senica Terrell Ramsey, 25, of 422 W. Porter St., Warsaw, is charged with child exploitation, a level 5 felony; and two charges of child pornography, level 6 felonies.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday on a $11,500 preliminary bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Sept. 15 the Warsaw Police Department was called to investigate a physical fight. An officer located the individuals involved in the incident. While at the location, the officer observed Ramsey and Ramsey appeared to be videotaping an ongoing incident involving a minor and another individual.
As part of the investigation, the officer obtained a search warrant to search for evidence on Ramsey’s cell phone.
On Oct. 23, while executing the search on Ramsey’s phone and reviewing the data, the officer saw numerous videos and photographs of a child in a state of nudity and depicting sexual conduct. In total, there were 196 nude photographs including approximately 70 photographs which showed a minor in a state of nudity. The images appeared to be screen shots taken by Ramsey during video chats between Ramsey and the minor.
In May, the minor was 15 and Ramsey was 24. According to court documents, WPD was familiar with Ramsey and the minor from several previous law enforcement contacts with them. Ramsey was aware the minor was under 18.
