January 24, 2024 at 8:52 p.m.

Larry G. Harmon, age 77, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2024.
He was born on March 14, 1946, to Leonard and Birdie Dotson Harmon.
Larry graduated from Mentone High School in 1964. After high school he enlisted in the Army and served stateside for two years. He married Barbara Crisp on Jan. 27, 1968, and together they raised two daughters. Larry was a machinist at Zimmer and retired in 2001.
Back in the day, Larry could be found Friday and Saturday nights at the Warsaw or Eldora Speedway: from owning late model #35 to backing sprint drivers and pushing sprint cars - he loved car racing. He was a fan of the World of Outlaws and made annual trips to Knoxville for years. Larry also enjoyed watching Indiana Basketball and NASCAR, with a particular admiration for Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Larry appreciated classic cars and could name the make, model, and year in just a glance - a skill that delighted his grandkids. He also enjoyed shooting hoops and playing catch with them, as well as playing card games.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Harmon; children, Melissa (Daniel) Hatch, of Warsaw; and Jennifer (Christopher) Roberts, of Eloy, Ariz.; grandchildren: Nicholas Shepherd, Jamison (Jessica) Shepherd, Kathryn Blue and Jordan Roberts; and great-grandchildren: Logan, Jaxton, Monty and Kacie. Also surviving is a sister, Karen (Mike) Kirby, of Lawrenceville, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Harmon.
A Life Celebration® visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home located at 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw. A graveside service will be the following day on Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery 421 N. Maple Ave., Warsaw.
