The Warsaw Education Foundation (WEF) announced the upcoming 2024 Community Quiz Bowl.
The annual fundraiser is set to take place March 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School TRAC.
This year's Quiz Bowl will transport participants back to the nostalgic era of the 1990s as teams from local businesses, organizations and educators come together to compete in answering questions based on the theme, "It's the ’90s,” according to a news release from WEF.
Space is limited, and the Quiz Bowl can accommodate the first 70 teams to register. Teams of five can secure their spot by registering online at https://forms.gle/en6iMgNHySo4yebd9.
For those who may not want to enter a team but still wish to support WEF, there's an opportunity to sponsor a team. During the online registration process, participants can choose the "TEAM SPONSOR" option to support a team of Warsaw educators.
The Warsaw Education Foundation plays a role in supporting educators within the Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) through community-funded initiatives. The Foundation, fueled by community support, provides funding for the creation and implementation of enriching academic opportunities for WCS students.
One of the Foundation's flagship programs, the Red Apple Grants, awards innovative classroom project grants to WCS teachers. Additionally, WEF supports various initiatives, including the annual chess tournaments, the NEW Opportunities Workshop for Women, and the Honor an Educator program.
