Warsaw Man Arrested For OWI After SUV Goes Off Road

A Warsaw man avoided injuries after his SUV went off the road early Saturday morning and landed on a culvert, but he didn’t escape jail time.
According to information provided by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Tad Edwards, 33, Warsaw, was traveling east in a 2023 GMC Acadia on CR 175N, east of CR 175E, when the vehicle left the road on the south side.
The Acadia traveled for about 100 yards before ending up on the culvert.
Edwards didn’t report any injuries, and he was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
He was investigated for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to the KCSO, and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 4:41 a.m. Saturday on the charge. His preliminary bond was set at $700.
Damage was minimal at approximately $2,500.
