Born on Sept. 13, 1936, in Adams County near Berne, Elsie grew up in a rural community and attended local schools, graduating from Hartford Township High School in 1954. Throughout her long career, Elsie showcased her versatility by seamlessly transitioning between various departments and hospitals. Her ability to adapt and excel in any setting was truly remarkable. Colleagues fondly remember Elsie as not only a skilled professional but also as a spunky and feisty person.
Beyond her professional endeavors, she delighted in engaging in various crafts and found joy in expressing her creativity through these artistic outlets.
