Brenda Vanover

Brenda Vanover, 66, Newport News, Va., passed away peacefully at home Nov. 13, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 26, 1957, to Harold and Beverly Barton. She resided in the Warsaw area. In June of 1985, she married Benny Vanover and in 2010, they relocated to Virginia.
Brenda was a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed her thrift stores, flea markets and antique malls. She also was a talented artist featured in multiple publications. Brenda's life revolved around her faith in Jesus Christ. Her faith was unshakable. She was a warrior for her beloved Savior and a strong patriot for our country.
She leaves behind her husband, Benny; daughter, Lacee Woodruff, of Round Lake Park, Ill.; son, Marshall Vanover, Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren: Isabella, Ben, Emi and Annalyse Woodruff, all from Round Lake Park, Ill.; Lilliana Vanover, Virginia Beach, Va.; Beverly Barton, Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold; and brother, Ray Barton.
Service was private. Cremation service was provided by Cremation Society of Virginia.
