Patricia ‘Pat’ Likens

Patricia “Pat” Likens, age 90, of Warsaw, passed away at 3:52 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, in Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital.
She was born March 17, 1933, in Warsaw, to Joseph and Maxine Metzger Johnson.
Patricia was united in marriage to Ed Likens in Bluefield, W.Va., on Aug. 15, 1959, who passed away on Feb. 18, 2018. She was a 1951 graduate from Warsaw Community High School and graduated from Indiana Business School in South Bend. Pat was the co-owner of Likens Tax Service and Service Liquors and was a previous real estate agent selling properties in Warsaw. She retired in 2003.
She was an active member of her church and an extensive traveler. Pat was known to have a feisty personality and she was an avid fan of IU basketball and coach Bobby Knight. She enjoyed listening to Warsaw Community High School basketball games on the radio in the past. Pat’s social affiliations include the Warsaw Eastern Star, Lambda Chi Omega Sorority and she was a member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her son, William “Willie” (spouse Jolynn) Likens; daughters, Christy Singrey and Cathy Carter, all of Warsaw; sisters, Sharon Smyth, of Daytona, Fla.; and Sonja (spouse Chris) Reid, of Conroe, Texas; a brother-in-law, Robert (spouse Dixie) Likens, of North Webster; and grandchildren include: Casey Carter, of Warsaw; and Cade (spouse Emma) Carter, of Indianapolis; Kelli (spouse Jonas) Haraldsson, of Umea, Sweden; and Connor Singrey, of Manhattan, N.Y. Furthermore, a great-grandson Fredrik Haraldsson, a great-grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw. Her funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16 in the church with Father Michael Basden officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Anne’s Columbarium. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
