Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District board approved changing the depot's internet and phone service provider Tuesday.
KCSWMD Executive Director Tom Ganser said the depot's phones have been down since Jan. 29 and that they've also had no internet since Feb. 6. The depot's current provider, Brightspeed, has also not provided the depot with timely responses on resolving the issues.
The board approved switching the depot's phone and internet provider to Comcast for $229 a month.
The sale of the former Syracuse recycling drop-off site to the Wawasee Community School Corporation was also finalized during the meeting.
The board's next meeting is at 11 a.m. March 12.
