Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) celebrated a significant STEM education milestone at the Tiger Basketball game on Saturday, marking six years of support from the Zimmer Biomet Foundation.
This partnership aligns with WCS's strategic plan, emphasizing experience, empathy, adaptability and inclusivity, with STEM education playing a critical role in adaptability and experience, according to a news release provided by WCS.
During the halftime event, Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert was joined by Adam Griner, Tabatha Mcdonald and other members of the Zimmer Biomet team to recognize their partnership with WCS.
Zimmer Biomet's support has been crucial in enhancing WCS's K-12 STEM education, focusing on Project-Based Learning, improving classroom resources and expanding the Elementary Robotics Showcase, the release states. Their involvement also includes hosting educational tours and participating in feedback sessions, demonstrating the power of community partnership in enhancing educational opportunities.
Partnerships with community and industry leaders, such as Zimmer Biomet, are key in enhancing the quality of STEM education.
