Presidents

Editor, Times-Union:
As Presidents Day approaches my thoughts turn to the presidential race with the two principal candidates. Trump and Biden. I wish we still had men like Abraham Lincoln to vote for. A man of honesty and integrity. I could certainly vote for him.
But NOW we have one running for president who wants us to FORGET his 91 criminal felony charges against him and vote for him anyway. His party supports him. Whatever happened to the old “Moral Majority” we heard so much about years ago? I would kinda like my president to have a better character reference than this.
Another one is running for president who wants us to forget he has a memory problem (like many older people) and also forget his weakness on foreign affairs. For example, showing the lack of concern as genocide of thousands of innocent people, and destruction of their buildings and businesses go on and he doesn’t express many objections. I kinda like my president to believe and support HUMAN RIGHTS.
I CANNOT with a clear conscience vote for either of these candidates. But what I can do is pray and hope that someone comes forth with HONESTY AND INTEGRITY like my friend Abraham Lincoln.

The Benefits Of A Data Center In Agriculture And Economic Growth
Editor, Times-Union: I’ve heard folks say I have prime farmland. What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.
