Youth Chorale To Participate In 2024 Youth Choir Festival

WINONA LAKE - The Classic Arts Youth Chorale will be joining students in grades 3-9 from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois for the 2024 Mennonite Youth Choir Festival in Berne, Ind., on March 2-3.
Open to students of any faith community, the two days of great music and fun will culminate in a final performance, according to a news release from the Classic Arts Program.
Formed with a vision to not only encourage and develop musical skills, the festival also promotes a continuation of traditional sacred music. Guest conductor and clinician for this year’s festival is Don P. Ester, Ph.D, Professor Emeritus of Music Education at Ball State University. Dr. Judie Meulink, Classic Arts Youth Chorale director, will serve as accompanist for the festival.
Support the local youth with your attendance at their 2 p.m. performance on March 3. The concert will be held at the First Mennonite Church, 566 W. Main St., Berne, and is free and open to the public. There will be a half hour organ prelude prior to the performance.
