Student’s Job Title: Apprentice
What are your job responsibilities: Provide quality work for customer vehicles.
How has this position been helpful to you? This position has taught me so much: new techniques and ways to work on cars; also has helped me to better work with others.
What have you learned? I have learned many services like brake flush, transmission flush, etc. I’ve learned to do brakes and suspension on different types of vehicles and also learned more components to an engine.
How is this job preparing you for the future? It is teaching me how to do quality work on many different vehicles and helping me better my communication with coworkers/supervisor.
What do you like about this job? I like the environment and the coworkers. It is a well-kept shop and my coworkers are very nice and helpful with everything.
What Career Center classes have you taken in your pathway? Principles of Automotive Services, Brake Systems, Steering and Suspensions, and Automotive Service Capstone
Your Future Plans: Continue working at Lakeside Chevrolet.

What duties does this student perform? Perform maintenance and assist technicians with vehicle repairs.
How is this job preparing this student for the future? In house training for future work as a technician.
What do you think of the WACC Work-Based Learning program? It has been a beneficial program in the ever-changing auto industry.
