Alan L. Heeter, age 77, of North Manchester, passed away on Dec. 6, 2024, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.
He was born on June 23, 1947, the son of Ralph and Edith Basicker Heeter in Wabash.
Alan served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1966-1968 and retired from Zimmer Inc. During his lifetime, Alan lived in Liberty Mills; Cape Coral, Fla.; and Warsaw. He was a member of Liberty Mills Community Church and enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family and friends.
Alan is survived by his nephews, Kevin (Miranda) Heeter and Kenton (Todd) Ahearn; along with a great-niece, Madison Heeter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Eugene Heeter.
A private family service will be held and Alan will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.
