Patricia L. Stonebraker

KOKOMO - Patricia L. Stonebraker, 87, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, at Waterford Place Health Campus in Kokomo.
She was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Muncie, the daughter of Emery and Gail Vogelman Tyner. Patricia graduated from Daleville Jr./Sr. High School and then obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree’s from Ball State Teacher’s College.
Mrs. Stonebraker began her teaching career at Blaine Elementary School, then moved to Longfellow Elementary before taking time off to raise her family and become a wonderful homemaker. Patricia then returned to teaching as an elementary teacher at Longfellow and Emerson Elementary. She later taught at Anthony Elementary and Storer Middle School before retiring after 30 years of teaching.
Pat was active at College Avenue United Methodist Church for many years, and also participated in walks to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. She was a member of the bridge club at the Tippecanoe Country Club, and remained actively fit with walking and aerobics. Pat spent most of her time taking care of her husband Phillip and their lake cottage on Lake Tippecanoe.
She is survived by two sons, Chris Stonebraker (Cassie) and Kevin Stonebraker (Michelle); three grandchildren: Seth Stonebraker, Sarah Stonebraker and Samantha Stonebraker; a sister, Connie Tyner; a nephew, Jack Stonebraker; and a niece, Sherrie Meadows.
Mrs. Stonebraker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Phillip E. Stonebraker; a brother-in-law, Jack Stonebraker Jr.; and sister-in-law, Sally Stonebraker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, on Sunday, Dec. 29 from 3 until 6 p.m.
