Kids have a chance to win a shopping spree at Walmart thanks to a coloring contest offered by Professional Roofing Solutions & Construction LLC.
Taylor Temple, sales manager, explained Monday that they’re going to have three age groups: 3-6, 7-10 and 11-13.
“We’re going to have a grand prize winner and a runner-up in each category. Grand prize winner is going to be a $250 shopping spree at Walmart, the runner-up is going to be a $100 shopping spree at Walmart,” he said. “What we’re going to have kids do is come into the office, pick up a coloring page, they can either color it here or they can take it back and have it colored, as long as it’s delivered back to us by this Wednesday at 5 p.m.”
The winners will be selected Thursday. On Friday, the announced winners will meet at the Professional Roofing Solutions & Construction LLC office at 322 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, at about 5:30 p.m. to go to Walmart for the shopping spree at 6 p.m.
There will be a total of six winners, two from each age group.
“And then, on top of that, for every coloring page that we acquire, the company as a whole, on behalf of the community, is going to add $5 to a donation for a family that we’re going to adopt, and we will do a donation for our Adopt-A-Family,” Temple said.
This is the first year Professional Roofing Solutions & Construction LLC has done the coloring contest. Temple said they kind of came up with it on a whim, but it will become an annual thing with more notice in the future.
The staff will judge the coloring contest, but the staff won’t know the names of the kids who colored the pages. Each colored page will be numbered and labeled by age group and hung up at the office for the staff to pick the winners.
Any child 3 to 13 can enter the contest. They all color the same page of a blank Christmas tree with presents underneath it.
“Our coverage area is basically the northern third of the state, so anybody’s welcome to come in and do it,” Temple said.
Professional Roofing Solutions & Construction LLC is getting ready to open Fort Wayne and South Bend locations. The company started in Warsaw by Brandon Blair, who was born and raised in Warsaw.
