People will be able to buy from vendors they may not have previously known about through the Downtown Christmas Market.
Vendor Josh Colman said there will be six or seven vendors selling items like popcorn, freeze-dried candies, honey, laser-engraved merchandise in the Kosciusko Economic Development building, 102 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
The Market is organized by the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Warsaw, Colman said. There will also be a local author doing book signings.
Rob Parker, Chamber president and CEO, said Main Street Warsaw has put on pop-up shops in the past and that’s how the Downtown Christmas Market got started.
The goal of these type of pop-up markets is to get people to come and love vendors’ products, Parker said. It also brings awareness to different vendors.
“I think there are a lot of people that are going to be vendors here that a lot of people haven’t heard of,” Colman said.
The market is open this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. After this weekend, the market will be open Dec. 11, 13, 18 and 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 14 and 21 from noon to 6 p.m.
