WINONA LAKE - Right to Life of North Central Indiana’s annual Legacy of Life Banquet is scheduled for Sept. 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capitol Center on the campus of Grace College & Seminary.
The event’s keynote speaker is Scott Klusendorf. Klusendorf is the president of Life Training Institute and the author of “The Case for Life: Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture.” He is a passionate and engaging speaker traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada, training pro-life advocates to persuasively defend their views in the public square, according to a news release provided by Right to Life. Nationally, he has debated Nadine Strossen (former president of the ACLU), attorney Edward Tabash (of the Council for Secular Humanism), attorney Kathryn Kolbert (who argued for abortion rights at the Supreme Court) and Katherine Kneer (president of Planned Parenthood California).
The emcee for the evening will be Roger Grossman. Grossman is currently in his 34th high school sports year at the radio stations in Warsaw and has broadcast over 2,800 games during that time. He is the radio voice of Warsaw Tiger football, girls and boys basketball, and he hosts the weekly show Tiger Talk and is a noted columnist in the Times-Union newspaper. He also has been serving as the play-by-play voice of the NCCAA Women’s Division I national championship tournament held at Grace College. Grossman and his wife, Holly, have two children and attend Winona Lake Grace Church.
Executive Director Dave Koontz states that, “the banquet is a great opportunity to build awareness for pro-life efforts in North Central Indiana and raise the funds that will be used throughout the year to promote the dignity and value of all human life.”
For banquet details, including sponsorship opportunities and to purchase tickets ($40 per ticket or $320 for a table of eight), go to www.ProLifeBanquet.com. For more information, call 574-306-7406. Right to Life thanks diamond sponsors SYM Financial Advisors and Nutritional Resources.
Right to Life of North Central Indiana is committed to serve, support, and strengthen communities and local life-affirming organizations for the purpose of promoting the dignity and sanctity of human life through education, fundraising, outreach and collaboration, the release states. Right to Life of North Central Indiana serves nine counties: Kosciusko, Marshall, Whitley, Fulton, Cass, Miami, Wabash, Pulaski and Grant.
