Patricia Shriver, 86, of Syracuse, passed away on Aug. 15, 2024, at The Waters of Syracuse.
She was born on June 4, 1938, in Roanoke, Va., to Zera and Eva Wade Hatcher. She retired from Instrumed in 2002. She bought fine estate jewelry, as well as antiques, and sold them at antique markets.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hire; stepdaughter, Dena (David) Canmann; stepson, Jeff (Ginger) Shriver; 10 grandchildren: Ben Hire, Lynn (Jesse) Baker, Meredith Canmann, David (Camilla) Canmann, Natalie Canmann, Madeline Canmann, Andrew (Erin) Shriver, Kegan (Ally) Shriver, Kirsten Shriver, Catherine Canmann and Heather (Nate) Everingham; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Beeler. She was preceded by her husband, Harry Shriver; as well as two sisters, Betty and Juanita.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Eastlund Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Akron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Fort Wayne.
