SYRACUSE - The Polka Dot Tail, 201 E. Bowser Road, Syracuse, held its ribbon cutting Monday.
Representatives from the Kosciusko Chamber and Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce were on hand to welcome the new business to the community.
The business will offer a curated selection of organic wellness products, dietary-specific foods, and eco-friendly home goods.
The Polka Dot Tail takes a comprehensive approach to wellness, which considers all aspects of your life, including nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management and more. It has a diverse selection of organic health and wellness products, dye-free food coloring, special dietary lines (vegan, gluten-free, grain-free), natural home goods, olive oils, and 15 kinds of herbal teas. Each product is carefully curated to ensure it meets high standards of quality and sustainability.
Its mission is to offer a curated selection of high-quality, sustainable, and natural products, which make it easier for you to add a “splash of better” every day. From organic health and wellness items to eco-friendly home goods, its diverse range of products is carefully chosen to support a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.
The owners are Marlene Shively and Tracey Altman.
“We want to be customer driven,” said Shively. “We want to know what they (the customers) want.”
It also carries a selection of locally-sourced honey from McComb Bee Farm, located in northeast Indiana. All of the honey comes exclusively from its own apiary, ensuring every jar is filled with the purest, most natural honey you can find.
A selection of supplements and vitamins are coming, too, and it carries soaps. It will also offer nutritional counseling. It carries Good Farm dog treats, too.
Call 574-200-3112 or email [email protected]. Visit its website for more information, www.thepolkadottail.com or its Facebook page.
A grand opening celebration is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. The Rooted Spud and The Girl and The Goat food trucks will also be at the grand opening with gluten-free food, like smoothies.
Hours are: Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
