Stephen E. Zahn Honored With IBA Leaders In Banking Excellence Award

First Federal Savings Bank announced that board chairman, Stephen E. Zahn, has received the Indiana Bankers Associations Leaders in Banking Excellence Award. This award was presented on Aug. 2 at the Indiana Bankers Association headquartered in Indianapolis.
Speakers at the event included Sen. Travis Holdman, Rep. Todd Huston and Indiana Department of Financial Institutions Director Tom Fite who all spoke on behalf of the award recipients. The award celebrates exceptional leaders who have positively impacted Indiana banks and communities, according to the release from First Federal.
Zahn has been a part of First Federal Savings Bank since May, 1964. As president, CEO and chairman, he has guided the bank to significant achievements, including its public offering in 1995, the release states.
Under his leadership, the bank has been recognized as one of the top 200 community banks and a “dividend champion” company. Beyond the institution, Zahn has made contributions to the banking sector and community, including as chairman of the Indiana League of Savings Institutions and receiving honors such as a “Distinguished Hoosier” by Gov. Mitch Daniels and the Chiefs of the Flints Springs Tribe honor.
