Harley Hubert Carney

Harley Hubert Carney, age 86, of Warsaw, passed away Aug. 9, 2024, at Warsaw Meadows, Warsaw.
Mr. Carney was born in Muncie, on Aug. 6, 1938, to the late Hubert H. Carney and Mary E. Reason Carney. He was a graduate of Muncie Central High School. He was to married Doris Ruth Pope Carney for 41 years. He honorably served his country for 21 years in the United States Navy. After he retired from the Navy, he graduated Ivy Tech College with four degrees and went on to be an instructor at Ivy Tech College for many years. He retired from Walmart. Harley was a member of Eagles Lodge #1771. He was an avid bowler and coached bowling for many years.
Survivors include a son, David LeRoy Carney, partner, Becky, of Summitville; son, Kevin Michael Carney, wife Tammy, of Alexandria, Ind.; son, Mark Allen Carney, wife Teresa, of Elkhart; grandchildren: Katie, David Jr., Kiersten, Kasey, Matthew, Michael, Kylie, Cody, Roberta, Danniel and Quentin; and two great-grandchildren, Daxton and Harley Quinn.
Harley will be laid to rest with Navy honors at Marion National Cemetery at a later date.
